In Jesus, we live forever
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
After a brief summer break, we are ready to resume our prayer marathons in the peace of Jesus, our Lord.
This month, we want to take time to reflect on the passing of the seasons, which also symbolizes the passage of time granted to us by God the Father.
Every moment, some rejoice at the first cry of a newborn, while others mourn the loss of a loved one.
If our parents had nine months to prepare for our arrival, we are never quite ready for death.
Consider this: if the master of the house knew at what hour of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and not let his house be broken into. (Matthew 24:43)
Jesus reminds us to always be ready—not in desiring death or dwelling on it, but in being prepared to cross the threshold of Heaven, that is, to be pure. The end of earthly life should not be seen as the annihilation of everything, but rather as the beginning of the absolute, the true reason why we were created: to be with God forever.
The word “forever” sometimes disorients and disturbs us; we struggle to grasp the concept of “forever,” but He who has waited for us and loved us from the beginning is ready to welcome us.
