Lord, keep us in Your love!

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Happy New Year with the peace of Jesus in your hearts!!!
We begin our first prayer marathon of 2025 with thanksgiving to God the Father for keeping us safe throughout 2024. We entrust ourselves into His arms for this new year.

As with the start of every week, month, season, and year, we all have good intentions and resolutions we wish to accomplish—whether personal, physical, intellectual, educational, or financial. However, we often overlook the most important question: What are we doing to please God more?

God the Father created us to be family, to love and be loved, to entrust us with His creation, and for us to entrust ourselves to His grace. He believes in us, in our abilities, but we too must believe in His constant presence—so that He may dwell every moment in our hearts and write our names for eternity.

“If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.” (John 14:23)

So, in this new week, month, season, or year… let the promise of Jesus always remain constant in our minds—that He will return our love by dwelling and abiding in our hearts.
With the awareness and certainty of the fulfillment of His promise, let us remain vigilant, always loving the Lord so that we may continue to be loved.

“Sing about a fruitful vineyard!
I, the Lord, watch over it;
I water it continually.
I guard it day and night
so that no one may harm it.
I am not angry.
If only there were briers and thorns confronting me!
I would march against them in battle;
I would set them all on fire.
Or else let them come to me for refuge;
let them make peace with me,
yes, let them make peace with me.”
(Isaiah 27:3-5)

Confident that we are the Lord’s vineyard, in this 140th Prayer Marathon, we renew our promise of love as a resolution for eternity:

Lord, keep us in Your love!
