I am the Way…
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
May the peace of the Lord be with us!!!
For more than a week, we have entered the Lenten season, a journey that brings us closer to Jesus both humanly and spiritually.
As with every journey, before setting off, we prepare ourselves to face it in the best possible way. We calculate the distance, the necessary stops, and even the unexpected events that may cause delays.
Our Lenten journey must also be undertaken with these considerations in mind:
- How can we strengthen ourselves spiritually during this Holy period?
- What stops should we take to connect more deeply with God? Can we pray more? Can we watch less TV and spend more time reading the Holy Scriptures or following spiritual programs?
- What unexpected obstacles might arise on the journey? How will the Devil try to distract us from our Lenten preparation?
- What can we sacrifice, and in what should we fast?
Each of us can answer these questions personally by seeking the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit, focusing on the travel guide given to us by Jesus Himself:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
If you know me, you will also know the Father. From now on you do know Him and have seen Him.” (John 14:6-7)
Let us remain united in one Spirit as we journey through the desert of our daily lives, following the true eternal path.
