Witnesses of the Risen Christ
Dear brothers and sisters,
Christ is Risen, Hallelujah!!!
He is truly Risen, hallelujah, he has defeated death once and for all, hallelujah!!!
Our greatest wish is that the announcement given by the angels to the women who had gone to visit the tomb will always be a living announcement in our hearts:
‘Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, he is resurrected’ (Lk 24:5).
Like the announcements of the angels to the shepherds in the countryside of Bethlehem: “Today, in the city of David, a Savior was born for you, who is Christ the Lord” (Lk 2:11) so out of the empty tomb, we have the confirmation of the promises of Jesus: “I am with you always, to the close of the age” (Mt 28:20).
The Lord is with us, but are we with him?
Can we really testify to the presence of him in our hearts with our lives?
Are we capable of being able to explain the great mystery of love that surrounds us?
In our infinite littleness, the Lord asks us only for love, to be lived, shared and handed down.
Yes, but we are not saints and we don’t work miracles…
in fact only God performs miracles, we can have faith, pray making us co-participants in the project of love that God the Father has for each of us.
God the Father Creator of the universe, You who formed the earth, the stars, shaped everything and every time, enable us to be able to love, to be able to live our existence in the way that most sanctifies us, to be able one day to be worthy of rejoice in the place you have thought of for us.
Make us humble, simple and lively in faith, creative in praising your Holy Name and open to receive all your grace and blessing.
You who sent Your only Son and our Lord Jesus to save us, make us true witnesses of His Holy Resurrection and Glory.
