What you wanna be when you grow up? Can I be a Saint ??
The closeness with God, is not measured in meters or time but is given by the relationship we have with Him, by our need to share with our Creator, our joys, thoughts, desires but also our weaknesses and trouble. More we open our hearts to hear His voice and more indirectly, we are overwhelmed by the source of salvation that leads us to the path toward holiness.
Saints .. ourselves..?
Yes, God wants us all to be saints and all in different forms, perhaps we would not have our name on future calendars. The real saints wouldn’t desire that as well…then we are on a good track already!!!
Sanctifying our small actions that then become days, months, years. Life!
No one has ever seen God (John 1:18)
But we have seen it in the faces, he stroked with his hands ,held us up in the arms and spoken by the mouths of the Saints, humble, courageous and open to the action of God in their hearts.
How many Saints are unknown to many, how much love poured in the world by the Father through them?
6 And because you are children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, ‘Abba!Father!’ 7 So you are no longer a slave but a child, and if a child then also an heir, through God.(Galatians 4: 6-7)
Yes, we can do it and we must aspire to our eternal salvation that automatically becomes salvation and holiness to others.
On October 31, then prepare to honor our Saints, no pagan holiday (Halloween etc.) could never obscure the light given by their eternal love for us. Our children can masquerade of happiness offering prayers for every treat received .
69th Marathon Prayer to aspire to holiness
29.30.31 October
And they went out and proclaimed the good news everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by the signs that accompanied it. ( Mark 16:20)
