The Gospel of the family, Joy for the world

The world meeting of families has just ended in Ireland with the theme ” The Gospel of the Family, Joy for the World.
This meeting, held every three years, aims to unite families around the world and to reflect and above all to pray about the importance of marriage and the family as the foundation of our life. Of society and the Church.
The family.
The family, we are  all of us, hearts bound by these invisible bonds that support us, strengthen us and give us confidence in our path of life.
The gift of life then is not an end in itself but is automatically associated with the gifts of other lives that together form the Divine project of union and family.
From the act of love of God with the gift of life, we automatically find ourselves responding with love to those who generate and / or care for us, and in this wonderful circle of affection, where love can only generate love, we respond to one of the principal commandments … ” love one another as I have loved you ” Jn 15:12
So how to keep and make this divine gift shine?
We are not the ones who decide the various situations that can affect our lives and our family unions, but what is fundamental on our side is our response … our reliance on God … and the continuous dialogue with him through prayer.

Over the centuries many families have decisively shown that only by faith can even the highest ascents produce innumerable fruits with the grace of the Lord.

The Martin family, from Lisieux, has become an example of faith and perseverance in the most difficult trials, and Saint  Therese  is the fruit with her  little way of humility that has conquered the world.
Then there are many unknown families who follow the example of the Holy Family of Nazareth in poverty, persecution, misunderstanding and discomfort then become a gift and graces  for many others.
Many questions can come to  our mind about our families compared to the one  of Jesus, but there is only one irrefutable thing: God’s choices are always the best and only with the eyes of God, through the extraordinary grace of prayer, we will discover the richness of our family.

We do not need great studies, great experiences and doctrines … but of dialogue with God, of prayer, restitution of the love that has generated everything and with which everything goes on …

On 29-30-31 August join our world prayer marathon to thank the Lord for the gift of the family. By asking Jesus for his protection against the evils of divorce, false models of coexistence and all the dangers that threaten the destruction of the same.
