Praying for peace … an impossible dream?
Thinking to be able to can change the world while the news that we keep hearing in the media are increasingly aggravating is not an easy feat.
At times it seems almost useless to pray for peace in the world, a very general concept and imaginative, but if we think that the world is made up of many small personal worlds, so many hearts capable of being able to love and mostly to forgive then everything seems easier.
“I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be children of your Father in heaven” Mt 5: 43-45
Jesus invites us to forgive, to overthrow the personal strengths that not only limit the reconciliation but mostly deplete and change the reason of our existence: to love God and love others. Then turning the other cheek in the society of the strong should not be synonymous of foolishness and weakness but security in the belief that peace is born before in our hearts and then in humanity.
In the name of God, there is only peace and love, and that’s why we say our YES!!
We welcome the invitation of Pope Francis to pray for peace and freedom in our hearts, the basis for a better world.
