Alive with Jesus

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

our Lord is truly Risen !!!

In the passages that we meditate in these days of the Scriptures, we note the hesitant behavior of the apostles at the news of the resurrection of Christ.

Jesus appeared first to Mary of Magdala, then to two disciples while they were on their way and for not believing them the Lord appeared to the eleven while they were at the table and rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart (Mark 16: 9-15) .

Then the apostles received a new mandate: “Go to the whole world to proclaim the Gospel to every creature”.

How many times are we also hesitant and incredulous in front of the many difficulties of life?

The Lord shows himself to us and we do not recognize him, He invites us to believe in his promises but we are hesitant.
The Lord asks us to announce it in our daily activities and we put so many question marks and many conditions.
He who loves us unconditionally and wants to be loved and believed for his promises.
The Lord asks us as to Peter, do you love me?
Yes Lord, I love you because by loving You I am alive!

We pray in this 75th prayer marathon for the faithful who lost their lives in the recent attacks in Sri Lanka and in all the countries of the world where Christians are persecuted.

Let’s pray for our faith in Christ truly risen!
