I can do all this through him who gives me strenght
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
The whole world is shaken by the ongoing pandemic. The numbers of the infected are followed by the grief for the deceased for the seriously ill and for the many worries of each of us.
The future has always been uncertain but the only certainty and foundation for us Christians is the present and future life in Christ, with Christ and for Christ.
In this Lenten season without Eucharistic celebrations, deprived of personal contact with our loved ones, of our habits and daily life, let us strengthen and meditate on the priorities of our existence.
In Christ
Galatians 3: 26-28 explains what the expression “in Christ.” Means. “Because you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female, because you are all one in Christ.
With Christ
“The Father and I are one” (Jn 10,30); “The Father is in me and I in the Father” (Jn 10:38). As Christ was in communion with the Father, we must be in communion with Christ. To be close friends with Jesus, to be the hands, mouths and feet, the mystical body of the Church in building the Kingdom.
For Christ
We must always remember that all we have is through Christ: in the order of nature because everything has been created through him (Col 1,15-17). And in the order of grace because everything has been bought back by him (1 Cor 6:20
all for the Lord: “Whatever you do, do it from the heart as for the Lord and not for men” (Col 3:23); “So that you may behave in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please him in everything” (Col 1:10).
Pope Francis recalled the power of global and community prayer, we of the 72-hour family for Jesus we want to invite you every month to remain united spiritually by praising God from all the continents of the earth.
We remember the efforts of the many health workers, the families who have lost loved ones, the many sick and the many difficult situations that have developed.
In this period of Lent we remain closer to Christ because He is with us and in us.
