You only live once…. not to..
As at the end of each year thinking about the closing of a cycle of time not only we realize that time can not be stopped but also the value it has for each one of us.
The more time we would have wanted to spend with those who are no more with us and the less time less than we would have liked to waste in worrying, getting angry or gossiping?
Yet, living hand to mouth do not realize the true value of every single moment till ‘we are not faced with situations that make us realize that every second counts.
You only live once … or … life is too short to .. are the phrases used to justify very often luxuries or bizarre choices we undertake but that basically hides the great truths.
You live only once for not gaining Paradise … and life is too short not to lose every single moment to sanctify us.
As time passes for the poor and the rich, the suffering and the healthy, also pass the opportunity to do something more; for ourselves and for others.
In the evening of life we shall be judged on love.
St. John of the Cross
In this end of 2015, to thank the Lord for the time given to us, the joys and sorrows, let us unite in prayer to use ourselves, our talents and every single moment for His glory and our closeness to Him. Let us entrust ourselves to the Virgin Mary to live a beautiful 2016 through the every day’s doors of God ’s Mercy, who became man like us, and always close to us.
