I am with you every day, until the end of the world
Dear brother sisters in Christ,
We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible in our bodies. For while we live, we are always being given up to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus may be made visible in our mortal flesh. (2 Cor. 4: 8-12)
We start with the letter of Saint Paul to the Corinthians to express our sense of weakness but not of loss.
In these months many sad messages reached us from various parts of the world but in each of them there is always hope in life, in recovery and that hope has a name is Jesus.
We often ask ourselves, but where is God, why is he making us suffer in a global way for this pandemic? What is the sense of the life in this suffering and fear ?
If we associate our earthly existence to a journey, we do not always remember that the reason of the journey itself is the destination and not the travel.
When we are leaving for a holiday or for a visit to our loved ones or even in small daily tours, we think above all of our destination and we can also sacrifice the journey in order to be able to arrive safely and be happy.
We know that God is our goal and also our travel companion if we seek and want him to accompany us.
Jesus told us:
I am with you every day, until the end of the world.
Together we invite our Lord to be with us!
