Faith and Hope in God the Father
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
May the peace of God the Father always be with us !!!
In this month’s marathon we want to reflect on one of the greatest gifts ever received: faith. From an early age we are taught to hope, to believe and to be able to achieve and we all imagine the future with projects, dreams, encounters and many expectations.
As we all know, Hope is not enough if we do not have the tenacity and confidence in what we do.
Both faith and hope are based on the same primal force which is love.
Yes, love is God and faith is in him who created us. Hope is our ability to love and be loved by God the Father, and to be united by love.
Even when everything seems difficult, everything seems contrary to our will and our serenity, we must, even if with difficulty, keep the flame of hope burning.
How can I stay confident when I’m in pain? Does God not see my sacrifices?
Prayer, even if difficult and sometimes dry, is the only way to stretch our arms towards the highest point of heaven, where God the Father Reigns. Yes, God sees and understands all our sacrifices, and as he raised Jesus after the great earthly sufferings, he will pull us out of the vortex of suffering and we will live in his peace.
And who among you is that father who, if his son asks him for bread, gives him a stone?
Luke 11: 11-13
Even in our daily actions, in our family life or in our free time, we are part of the bond of love between God the Father and his children. Our prayers said at home, or when we drive. either on the bus or on the way back from work they are the fuel that nourishes hope, putting ourselves in God’s hands every day to be able to stay there for eternity.
United in prayer for our intentions, for the suffering and for people far from God.
